Ring 24 is able to offer a range of options for internet connectivity at very competitive prices. If your business critically depends on the connectivity with the outside world then look no further than the wealth of experience we have for understanding WAN connectivity needs of a business. We can offer voice optimised broadband which is able to support data and quality of service for voice calls on the same connection, with speeds up to 20mb downstream and 1mb upstream.
Ring 24 can provide any type of Internet connection into your business. From ADSL to Satellite Connectivity and everything in between at a range of different speeds (connection depending).
ADSL, ADSL MAX, ADSL2 and ADSL2+ – Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) is one form of the Digital Subscriber Line technology, a data communications technology that enables fast data transmission over copper telephone lines.
SDSL – Symmetric Digital Subscriber Line (SDSL) is a collection of Internet access technologies based on DSL that offer symmetric bandwidth upstream and downstream. It is considered the opposite of Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) technologies where the upstream bandwidth is lower than the downstream bandwidth.
Leased Line – A leased line is a service contract between a provider and a customer, whereby the provider agrees to deliver a symmetric telecommunications line connecting two or more locations in exchange for monthly rent. It is sometimes known as a ‘Private Circuit’ or ‘Data Line’ in the UK. Unlike traditional PSTN lines it does not have a telephone number, each side of the line being permanently connected to the other. Leased lines can be used for telephone, data, Internet services, or connecting two Telephone Systems (PBXes).
Ethernet First Mile (EFM) leased lines are provisioned over multiple copper pairs, instead of traditional expensive fibre installations. Because EFM is provisioned over multiple pairs the service is highly resilient. If any of the pairs fail, the service will rate adjust to a lower speed on the remaining circuits rather than completely fail.
Satellite – Internet access provided through satellites. The service can be provided to users world-wide through Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites. Geostationary satellites can offer higher data speeds, but their signals cannot reach some polar regions of the world.
